About Us
Keeping Traditional Music Alive for Future Generations
Slavų tradicinės muzikos mokykla was established with a deep passion for preserving the unique musical traditions, folk songs, instruments, and cultural practices of Slavic communities. As a non-profit educational institution, we recognize that traditional music represents centuries of history, stories, emotions, and collective identity that deserve to be protected and celebrated.
Our school serves as a cultural center where children, young people, adults, musicians, researchers, and community members can learn, practice, and experience traditional Slavic music in an inclusive and inspiring atmosphere. We combine traditional teaching methods with modern educational approaches to make cultural heritage accessible to everyone regardless of their background or previous musical experience.
Through our educational activities, we provide lessons in traditional singing, folk instruments, musical theory, historical understanding of Slavic traditions, and artistic expression. We also encourage creative interpretations that respect the authenticity of traditional music while allowing new generations to engage with it in meaningful ways.
Our commitment extends beyond education. We actively support cultural preservation projects, organize public concerts and festivals, collaborate with cultural institutions, and participate in international initiatives that promote intercultural dialogue and appreciation of global heritage.
By bringing together artists, educators, students, and cultural enthusiasts, Slavų tradicinės muzikos mokykla contributes to building stronger communities where diversity, creativity, and cultural traditions can thrive for generations to come.
